Payfast has recently changed their subscription code since last month. This means that many subscriptions on invoices created earlier in the year may not be working. 

All subscriptions done within October however should still be working.

If you find your subscription not working or the invoice not auto paying and updating we advise your to recreate your subscription through the Invoice on Payfast.
